Electrologist Program

Prestige Health and Beauty Sciences Academy offers an Electrologist Program that aligns with the educational requirements of the Florida Department of Health, Electrolysis Council and Florida Administrative Code. Upon successful completion of the program, a diploma will be awarded, and the student will be eligible to take the Florida Electrolysis Council Exam to become a Florida licensed Electrologist.

Electrologist Program Overview

Electrology is one of the few FDA-approved methods for permanent hair removal from the body. An electrologist uses a small electrical pulse to target the hair follicle of each hair, resulting in smooth skin.

Electrolysis hair removal technology

The objective of this program is to educate and train students in permanent hair removal with the use of Electrology.

The Electrologist Program consists of 120 hours of classroom training (theory) and 200 hours of instruction in a clinical setting (work based/clinical application). The entirety of the program is supervised by a medical doctor and an electrologist, licensed in the state of Florida.

Students learn hair removal techniques using galvanic equipment, as well as thermolysis, blend, laser, and light beam methods. During training, future professionals receive all the information necessary to pass the Florida Electrolysis Council exam and become a licensed specialist.

Reviews

I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers of the school. Very professional training, a balanced balance of practice and theory, lots of useful handouts. I was trained at another school, so I can compare. Here you will not waste your time. I would recommend this school to everyone, both beginners and more experienced professionals.

I recently had the pleasure of attending beauty school, and I must say, it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was welcomed into a vibrant and inspiring community that helped shape my passion for all things beauty.

Moreover, the school took great care in providing resources and opportunities for career development. They offered guidance on building a professional portfolio, networking within the industry, and even job placement assistance. This ensured that we were well-prepared to embark on our beauty careers upon graduation. Thank you so much for that experience
